My trip to Kumbakonam was completely a wanderlust. I had to travel from Chennai with the hustles and bustles of traffic to Kumbakonam, a lovely city which has greenish fields, good food and fantastic temples to give food to the religious brains!!
Actually we went to attend a family function which I thought would be very boring and orthodox. Agreed that even though it was orthodox, the fun was never missed with my dear and near cousins. Me and my husband’s first temple visit was this – The Uppiliappan Temple.
A short ado of this temple:
Situated in Thirunageswaram , a village in the outskirts of the Thirunageswaram in the South Indian state. This temple’s architecture is also one example of Dravidian Style of Architecture. So this entire journey was completely relaxing!! 🙂
